Following an extensive refurbishment, customers using Haslemere station now have an exceptional quality new retail premises to cater for their needs.   The Cabin is now open to serve customers with a range of hot and cold drinks, locally sourced baked goods and luxury takeaway meals, along with a range of alcoholic drinks which include craft beers from the the Surrey and Hampshire area.  

The retail unit that was for many years traded as Hammonds Newsagent closed during Covid which provided an opportunity for local businesspeople Max and Sarah to work to open the new premises. Max said, “We have used Haslemere station for many years to travel for leisure and business so have been aware of the newsagent premises.   When the opportunity became available to lease the premises we were keen to provide customers with products that will showcase the best that local producers have on offer.   Our shopfit design was created to make an impactful first impression for our customers.   We are delighted with the positive comments from station staff and local station users who have appreciated how we have transformed the premises and are now sampling the variety of products that we have available. Our chocolate brownie, produced locally by Charlotte of Babsy’s Bakes has received really great reviews and we look forward to getting to know more customers as we serve them in the coming weeks and months.”
