National Rail Awards

We are thrilled to have played our part in contributing towards a number of the winners announced at the National Rail Awards ceremony held last night, 14th September 2023, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. They are all very worthy winners but some are highlighted below.

Hampshire Community Rail Partnership

The Hampshire CRP were presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Society award which recognises the vital role that the Railway plays in the fabric of the nation. Amey TPT have been working closely with the CRP and South Western Railway for the last 8 years identifying several projects to identify underused or vacant station buildings and land and repurpose them for the benefit of the local communities that they serve.

Okehampton Station

Okehampton station reopened in November 2021 as part of the very successful reopening of the Dartmoor Line. The line reopening as surpassed all expectations with passenger numbers flourishing. Amey TPT collaborated with GWR to deliver two new tenanted units. The Bulleid Buffet, operated by local businesswoman Leanne Knight, and a tourist information and heritage centre run by Dartmoor Railway Association, both opened in October 2022 and are proving very popular locally.
