Case Study Background

Perk Coffee are a start-up company which launched in August 2022 trading from a mobile truck in the London borough of Brent. Perk founder Tom Hawes approached Amey TPT in March 2023 to investigate potential trading opportunities with GWR. A great advocate for mental health support, Perk aims to help improve people’s social environment by providing mental health awareness along with delicious food and drinks. Part of Perk’s revenue is also donated to charity.

Due to ongoing redevelopment, there was a limited retail offer on Slough station and the main station forecourt was identified as an ideal location for Perk to be located.

Perk started trading from their distinctive bright pink converted Citroen truck in May 2023 and has proved very popular.

  • Published several social media articles including X and website news story promoting Perk’s arrival on Slough station
