Case Study Background

As part of the portfolio management of the Core Valley Lines infrastructure in South Wales, Amey TPT work with operational teams to negotiate and document access licenses enabling works on third party land.

In this case urgent access was required as a fencing fault was found on this section of the line. TPT were requested to work with the project team and the landowner to negotiate access terms as quickly as possible.

AmeyTPT Input

  • TPT advised on the licensing arrangement to be used to permit access and protect the operational team
  • We contacted the landowner and negotiated terms of access, including a site meeting
  • We completed a schedule of condition and agreed this with the landowner
  • TPT liaised with the solicitor as well as multiple client teams in order to arrange prompt signatures and agreement to terms

Deliverables

TPT were able to deliver a completed access license over third party land in one month and the team was able to access the property and promptly rectify the identified fault
