Ian is a Chartered surveyor with General Practice experience working on the estate management of Station Portfolios and Infrastructure Assets. He has experience of working on a range of property types and land matters.
Ian joined Amey TPT in March 2019 to work on the Wales and Borders network initially on behalf of Keolis Amey Operations. His role includes station commercialisation, lease advisory services, property management, estate strategy to achieve the ambitious targets set by the grant agreement. He also provides support on the operational estate of the Train Operating Company which has seen a significant piece of work concluded with the demobilisation of KAO and transfer to Transport for Wales Rail Limited.
Following the transfer of the Core Valley Lines assets to Transport for Wales Ian also acts on behalf of the infrastructure manager Amey Infrastructure Wales (formerly Amey Keolis Infrastructure Limited) on land matters. This include management of the commercial estate and various other types of agreements which includes the maintenance of the estate boundary. The work has involved the development and implementation of a land clearance process as well as the challenge of various identified trespass and encroachment matters.
