From February 2022, South Western Railway’s Havant station welcomed the team at Solent Remade, a Community Interest Company that have leased the premises fronting North Street.

Following a renovation the premises is being used as a community hub, including a library of things, meeting room, drop in bike repair workshop and to store items used in pop-up repair, reuse and active travel projects across Havant Borough.

Solent Remade work to achieve a reduction in consumption and to build community resilience in the Havant area through repair, reuse and active travel projects.  All proceeds from the group’s activities shall be reinvested into the Community Interest Company.

Anne Sayer, Founder Director said “This is a fantastic space in the heart of the community we serve and as a high footfall location is helping to raise awareness of what we do.

“We are grateful to Amey and South Western Railway for making this space available to us.”

Celebrating the opening are Solent Remade directors (L to R) Catherine Billam, Philippa Gray and Anne Sayer.

The renovation was supported by Community Rail Network, Hampshire County Council’s Waste Prevention Community Fund and UnLtd.
