Railway Kitchen Opens at Axminster

Customers using Axminster station are once again able to purchase hot and cold drinks and snacks following the opening of Railway Kitchen. The new café/restaurant was opened on Friday 29th April by the Mayor of Axminster.
Railway Kitchen is the first café/restaurant that owner Jack Price has opened and is a new venture into the hospitality industry. The café/restaurant opens in the mornings and lunch to serve regular commuters and from Early summer they will be opening on Friday and Saturday evenings to serve light meals and tapas to customers that are enticed to the restaurant from the interesting menu of predominantly locally sourced products.
Railway Kitchen is a welcome addition to the station. They hope that the evening menu will create a new destination for Axminster locals and should enable Railway Kitchen to share customers with The Ale Way micropub that trades from the former Station House.
Owner Jack Price said “I am delighted to open and have the chance to showcase my products to SWR customers and to new customers that have visited since hearing of the new facility at the station. It has been wonderful to get to meet so many new people and receive compliments from the work undertaken in renovating the premises.”
