The customers at Newbury station have been patiently waiting to be able to get their hands on some top quality food and drink during the major redevelopment of the platform 2 building on the station. Well, the wait is over. Not only have GWR delivered a brand new customer waiting room and a new ticket office, but a new coffee unit operated by Gourmet Coffee Bar and Kitchen has also opened within the waiting room.

Owner Nick Garnell said “Gourmet Coffee has a long and happy working relationship with Amey TPT providing top quality speciality coffee and food outlets at UK stations. This is the first time we have worked on a GWR station, and it has been great to have the opportunity to be able to plan a completely new bespoke solution from scratch for the interior of their newly developed ticket office and waiting room at Newbury. GWR have significantly upgraded the facilities at the station, and we believe the quality of the catering offer is a good fit.”
