Amey TPT has secured a new station based coffee operator for Shortlands Station, located in the London Borough of Bromley. The new tenant has been secured on behalf of our client, ‘southeastern’.

The new station offering currently trades as ‘The Poet’s Corner’, a trading name inspired by the man behind the operation, Pier Tomasello. Pier isn’t your average barista and has spent almost three decades operating in London’s coffee scene.

Pier spent seven years working as a barista in the coffee outlet at Shortlands, prior to recently taking control of the business and rebranding it as ‘The Poet’s Corner’. During this time, he has forged strong linkages with station commuters, station staff and the wider Bromley community.

Pier has a distinct passion for coffee, community and literature. During his tenure at Shortlands he has produced various pieces of poetry which are proudly displayed at the unit along with a backdrop of “Puccini” or “Vivaldi”. Pier’s literature has been inspired by his observations and the people of Shortlands station.

Amey TPT are delighted to have Pier on board, ensuring passenger provision at Shortlands Station.

This recent letting is another good news story and provides further evidence that faith in the rail retail sector is being restored, as we continue to emerge from ‘lockdown’.
