Customers using platform 4 at Basingstoke station were able to but their hot and cold drinks, snacks, pastries and sandwiches from the new look Café Destino retail unit.   The new unit uses energy efficient fridges and equipment as the company seek to reduce carbon.   Initial feedback from customers has been really positive with many commenting to the Destino team on how much they like the new look.

Café Destino have been serving customers from the premises on platform 4 for 18 years.   Director Ahmet Topcu commented, “the directors have been working on the designs for the retail unit for some time.   We wanted to enhance the customer experience and provide our customers with somewhere to work or sit and use the internet as they enjoy our wide range of products.  It has been especially pleasing to see the end results after the efforts made.  We are delighted with the quality of the fit out and shall evolve the new look in due course on other retail units on the South Western Railway network.”
