Kingston Hospital Radio have been provided with a new home within the former Station House at Norbiton Station. The radio team have leased the ground floor premises.  The lease follows a letting to The Jiu Jitsu Gym for the first floor meaning that the entire former Station House that previously housed a taxi company has been re-let.

Kingston Hospital Radio were seeking new accommodation having been asked to relinquish space at the Kingston Hospital.  With the station so close to the hospital, the parties worked together to ensure that the Gym and Hospital Radio could be provided for within the station building.  By securing new premises, the Radio team will be able to continue providing their service via the internet to hospital staff and patients and importantly, will still be able to visit the patients on the wards to get requests for the programmes.  Mao Minh Ali, head of  Kingston Hospital Radio said “We are delighted to have leased the premises and are grateful to South Western Railway for working to accommodate us at their station.  We will continue our service to the Hospital which we know is well loved and treasured by those that listen. South Western Railway and their representative from Amey were very constructive and helpful in facilitating the ongoing provision of this important service for the patients.”

Note:- Kingston Hospital Radio broadcasts a full range of programmes covering all music genres and can be listened to via the internet by going to their website (www.khradio.org) or by searching for Kingston Hospital Radio on the ‘TuneIn’ radio App.
