The Richmond opening marks another step in the brand’s continued growth and becomes Heidi’s eighth location. The shop will serve Heidi’s full range of handmade pastries, savouries, salads and cakes — all made from scratch at the Heidi Studio in Windsor and delivered daily to ensure the quality the business is known for. As a major interchange for the District line, London Overground and National Rail, Richmond Station is a key gateway for south-west London and a vital link for the capital. The station has recently seen restoration work by South Western Railway to highlight some of its original Art Deco elements and Heidi is delighted to be front and centre, with access from both the ticket hall and the high street.  The bakery arrives in the town with established credentials, holding five Great Taste Awards, including a prestigious 3-star rating for its Chocolate Hazelnut Cruffin and a 2-star rating for its Chocolate Mirror Cake.

"We’ve always wanted to bring our artisan bakery products into rail stations but weren't sure how to make it happen. After spotting an opportunity, Ian from Amey took the time to visit us in person—which really set the tone for our partnership. It allowed us to explore our respective visions and gave us the confidence, as a new entrant to the railway, to submit a bid. Six months later, we are delighted. The new shop has been a hit with customers and the initial figures are hugely encouraging. Relationships are at the heart of any strong deal, and Amey has bridged the gap between a nationally important landlord and a smaller group like ours."

Heidi Richmond is open seven days a week (from 6.30am on weekdays) and can be found at the station entrance on Kew Road. Customers can place pre-orders via the Heidi app, available at heidibakery.co.uk.
