Passengers at Aldershot station can now enjoy a fresh new place to refuel, with Flying Bean Cafe officially opening its first outlet on the South Western Railway (SWR) network.
The new café occupies the former retail unit accessed from the station’s waiting room, which has been fully refurbished by the tenant. As part of the works, Flying Bean Cafe created a new doorway leading directly onto Platform 1, improving convenience for customers and enhancing the overall station experience for commuters and leisure travellers alike.
Offering high‑quality barista coffee, fresh pastries and a range of grab‑and‑go options, the arrival of Flying Bean Cafe reflects SWR’s ongoing commitment to expanding the choice and quality of retail across its stations.
The Aldershot opening also marks the start of Flying Bean Cafe’s wider expansion across the network. The tenant’s contractors are scheduled to commence the fit-out of a second unit at Portsmouth Harbour station from Monday, signalling continued investment and momentum.

Tom Allen, Managing Director of Flying Bean Cafe, said:
“We’re thrilled to be opening our very first store on the South Western Railway network, and Aldershot is the perfect location for us. The new doorway onto Platform 1 allows us to serve customers more conveniently than ever, and we’re excited to bring our signature coffee and service to even more passengers as we expand to Portsmouth Harbour and beyond.”
The new café is now open and welcoming customers. For further information on Flying Bean Cafe, please visit www.flyingbeancafe.com
