The "We love Elmbridge" annual awards celebrate the best independent retailers within the borough.   The awards provide residents with the perfect opportunity to show their appreciation for their favourite local retailers. 

This year the award for best independent retailer has gone to Café Noir trading from Thames Ditton Station. Remarkably this is the ninth time owner Alaa Habbooby has won an Elmbridge retailers award plus two additional local awards and he is thrilled to have been recognised yet again by his loyal customers, for his commitment to excellent customer service and quality.  

Mr Habbooby said, “I am delighted to win this award again.   It is especially pleasing that it is my customers casting their votes that has enabled me to be recognised again as best independent retailer.   I love the interaction with customers and the opportunity to serve them with my range of hot and cold drinks and snacks.  I hope it makes their journey more rewarding as they board the train with products purchased from Café Noir”.
