An opportunity exists for a pop-up mobile operator to trade from an area on the station forecourt.
Figures from the ORR stipulate that in 2018/19 the station had over 3.75 million entries and exits and 266,862 interchanges.


The site is located on the main station forecourt. The Landlord is looking for a high-quality retail/catering operator trading from a vehicle that is self-sufficient.

Licence Details

A licence agreement to run until March 2023 determinable upon 28 day’s notice by either party,
The licence will not permit assignment or sub-letting.


The Landlord is looking to secure a high quality catering operator(s) and will welcome offers from local independent businesses. The site may be available at different periods throughout the trading day and interest from both morning and evening operators is invited.


The incoming tenant will be expected to pay the Landlord’s legal costs in connection with the grant of the licence. These costs are anticipated at £800 plus vat

Licence Fee

Licence fee to be negotiated. The licence fee will be a combination of minimum guaranteed licence fee with supporting turnover fee provisions. VAT is payable. A licence fee deposit will be required. A credit check will be undertaken.


The tenant’s vehicle will require to be self-sufficient and no utilities are being provided.

Street Trading Licence

Licensees should contact the local Council to determine whether a separate street trading licence needs to be applied for.

Energy Performance Certificate

Not required.


The licence will be subject to the approval of GWR and the Department of Transport (DfT).
