Cycle Maintenance/Hire Hub Opportunity


Gravesend railway station is a railway station serving the town of Gravesend, Kent. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Southeastern.


The new cycle hub at Gravesend Station has been jointly funded by the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC) and Kent County Council and has space for a retailer to be able to have a Cycle related business. It requires a commitment to undertake community events in the form of beginners lessons, cycle rides and events and will have 10 fold up Brompton and 2 new electric bikes for the retailer to hire out.
The unit has a GIA (Gross internal area) of 49m². The back area (bike maintenance) measures approx. 7.1m x 3.8m and the front area (showroom) measures approx. 7.8m x 2.6m (Please note all the above dimensions are approximate). The unit will has a toilet and small kitchen area
There is 63 amp single phase power as well as water and drainage.
Total passenger entries and exits at Gravesend station stands at over 2.9 million per annum (source : ORR 2016/17).


A Tenancy at Will can be granted until a new train operator franchise starts in November 2019 with a possible extension to April 2020.
We are not able to discuss longer term potential until that point.
The Tenancy at Will will cost £350 plus vat.

The tenant will be responsible for all business rates and insurance.
The landlord charges a service charge of £230 plus vat per annum.
