Selly Oak station is located the south west area of Birmingham. It is located on the Cross-City line are services, which are operated by West midlands Trains, run to Lichfield Trent Valley via Birmingham, Redditch and Bromsgrove.
Passenger entries and exits on the station in 2017-18 were 2,847,772 (source ORR).


An opportunity has become available for a new catering kiosk to trade from the booking hall.
There is no remote storage at the station.
The unit has water and drainage. The unit also has a 32-amp single phase power supply. The Landlord will consider an upgrade to the power supply, depending on available spare capacity.


The premises are offered on a new lease for a term to March 2026. A longer lease term can be granted subject to the approval of the Superior Landlord.
The lease will be contracted out of the security of tenure provisions of the 1954 L&T Act. Standard Railway Lease terms will apply. The lease will not permit assignment or sub-letting.


The unit is being offered under an informal tender process. Tender documentation can be provided on request. Please submit the proposed Minimum Guaranteed Rent per annum with supporting turnover provisions.
Deadline for submissions is 1200 on Friday 31st May 2019.
Rent is payable quarterly in advance by standing order only and a rent deposit will be payable.


The Landlord is looking for a high-quality catering operator.


An EPC is not required.


The incoming Tenant will be expected to pay the Landlord’s and if applicable, the Superior Landlord’s reasonable legal costs in connection with the grant of the lease. The tenant will be responsible for all other outgoings including commercial business rates and utility consumption.


Any works required will need to be undertaken by professional qualified contractors. The Landlord and if necessary, the Superior Landlord’s approval will be required in advance of any works.
