Mobile Coffee Opportunity

LOCATION

Derby Station is situated on the outskirts of the city centre. The pitch to be let is outside the Pride Park entrance adjacent to the eastern station car park.
The unit is close to Derby College, The Roundhouse, the extensive Pride Park Business Park and on the pedestrian route to Derby County FC.
Derby Station offers train services to London, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leicester and other local and regional destinations. The ORR estimates that the station had in excess of 3.7 million passenger entries and exits in 2015/16.

OPPORTUNITY

We require a high quality mobile coffee operator for an external pitch outside the Pride Park entrance to the Station. Would suit a piaggio or similar 'street food' style van.
Hot food vendors need not apply.

DESCRIPTION

The mobile coffee unit must have its own power supply (LPG or battery) as an electrical connection is not provided.
Similarly it will need its own water supply.
The mobile unit may be left on the pitch overnight at the operators risk or removed from site each day after trading.
Remote storage is not available.

LICENCE

A periodic licence is offered with a mutual break on three months notice (one month in the case of a rail emergency).
The Licence Fee is to be agreed but offers should be based on a Minimum Licence Fee with a supporting Additional Licence Fee based on a percentage of turnover.

CONSENTS

The operator will need to obtain a street traders licence if necessary.
We require that the operator maintains a minimum 3* Environmental Health score.

CERTIFICATION, INSURANCE & WASTE

The operator will need to provide a current Gas Safe certificate (if using LPG) and a Pressure Test certificate for the coffee machine.
Mobile units will need current tax, MOT and insurance certificates.
The operator will take out the appropriate public liability insurance.
The operator will be responsible for the proper disposal of all waste generated by the mobile unit.

COSTS

The operator will be responsible for the Licensor's legal costs estimated at £525 plus VAT.
Additionally the tenant will meet the costs of a credit reference check (£75 plus VAT)
